Speaking out for what we believe in.
We believe in equal access for all.

On August 11, 2000, the President signed Executive Order 13166. The Executive Order requires that Federal agencies serving individuals with limited-English proficiency (LEP) provide "meaningful access to services, regardless of the person's language.”

NWI is a tireless champion of this compliance order - not only from a legal standpoint, but because we believe it is the right thing to do. We are dedicated to providing the information and technical assistance necessary for federal agencies, recipients of federal funds, users of federal programs and federally assisted programs to enjoy clear, consistent, two-way communication.

As a company, we are deeply committed to provide government, business and educational organizations with excellent translation and interpretation services and to bridge language and cultural barriers wherever they exist. In this way, we are building a stronger community and developing the tremendous human resource potential afforded by our local and national diversity.

We support the spirit of Independent Business.

Freelance interpreters and translators are a vital part of the language services industry. According to a research study conducted by Common Search Advisory and commissioned by InterpretAmerica, 69.4% all interpreters and translators are independent contractors. Advances in technology and the ability to work from home have enabled thousands to create their own businesses, raise families, and pursue their passion for language without the encumbrances of a full-time job.

NWI supports this spirit of entrepreneurship. We believe it not only supports a more vibrant economy, but also allows us to better serve the needs of our clients.

We utilize only the most experienced, most qualified freelance resources, all of whom are carefully selected, qualified and evaluated on an ongoing basis. With a nationwide network of more than 1,000 professional linguists, we can assign interpreters and translators with proven experience in any number of fields and industries. And, because they are not restricted by a 9-5 time clock, our linguists can deliver professional results even under the tightest of deadlines.

The way we see it, it's a win-win-win for our freelancers, our clients and for us. Most importantly, freelance interpreters and translators are the backbone of our industry.

NWI is a founding member of the Contract Interpreter Information Center (CIIC). The CIIC is an informational website with a purpose to promote best practices of using independent contractors in the language services industry.
